For dietary supplements and cosmetics, quality control has to be built into every step of the manufacturing process—from the raw materials through finished product release and ongoing stability verification.
Here’s the third-party verified process we follow at Advanced Trichology to ensure every batch meets our standards for purity, potency, and consistency.
1. Inbound Raw Material Qualification
Before any ingredient is approved for manufacturing, we require independent third-party testing to confirm identity and quality specifications. This includes:
- Purity & Identity — Verifying the ingredient is what it claims to be and free of unacceptable contaminants or adulterants
- Potency / Assay — Confirming active compounds meet specification
- Standardization — Ensuring botanicals or specialized extracts meet defined marker compounds (where applicable)
- Allergen Controls — Verifying allergen status and cross-contact controls (where applicable)
- Microbiological Screening — Testing for microbial contamination per established limits
- Heavy Metals — Confirming levels meet applicable regulatory limits and internal standards
Only materials that pass are released for production.
2. Finished Product Quarantine & Release Testing

After blending, encapsulation, and bottling, every batch enters a controlled quarantine hold. No product is released for sale until it passes additional independent testing on the finished product, including:
- Potency & Label Claim Verification — Confirming the finished formula matches label claims and specifications
- Marker Compound Verification — Ensuring standardized compounds remain on-spec in the final blend (where applicable)
- Allergen Confirmation — Verifying allergen requirements and controls are met (where applicable)
- Microbiological Testing — Confirming the final product meets microbial limits
- Heavy Metals — Confirming finished product levels meet applicable limits and internal standards
Batches are released for distribution only after results are reviewed and accepted.
3. Independent Manufacturing Audits
We and our manufacturing partners operate according to best practice quality control standards and systems. These systems are verified are held accountable through regular oversight. In addition to internal quality controls, our partners undergo routine audits conducted by independent auditing partners and third-party certifying bodies.

These include UL, NSF Certified, USP and others, depending on the manufacturer. These audits evaluate process controls, sanitation, traceability, documentation practices, and overall quality management systems that contribute to a pure, potent and consistent finished product.
4. Stability Testing Through Expiration
Lastly, once we release a product, the quality and assurance process is not over! We conduct stability testing and ongoing quality review to verify that products remain consistent over their intended shelf life. Stability testing confirms that potency, purity, and overall quality characteristics remain within specification through—and in many cases beyond—the expiration date printed on each bottle.
